  It was a bad day for me. Maybe it will be good to share my experience before I let it go. After pumping the fuel in caltex Stepney today, I was ready to check out with an ice cream for my son who was waiting outside in car (luckily he was not with me). The lady cashier said something I did not understand. I have to say sorry here, as a new immigrant living in this country, my English listening is not really good. I know I have to improve as I decide to live here. She repeated again (now I realized she might say ‘pls flip over the ice cream so that I can scan the barcode and something else. But I still could not get exactly, except for two words: flip and barcode. What happened next was something I had never expected that she abruptly flipped over the ice cream and heavily slammed on the counter. I got stunned, after a second of being silent, I said “sorry my English is not good” , paid and left the store. This flip-over-show-barcode thing was a hygiene requirement which I think is fairly good. I was not mad at anybody in this story. But I have to admit this left me being down all day. Maybe that lady cashier was just in bad mood or too busy today. I just wish we could be more nice and patient to the people we may encounter everyday, especially during this tough time. And I promise I will work hard on my English.

  Coffee machine always not working or make bad coffee, sevise very poor.

  Easy to access pumps and a great range of products inside the store.

  This Caltex has the old style air pumps which is very handy if you need to inflate bike tyres. None of the other service stations nearby have this

  Great place dont serve pasties but pies were great the assistant working did not remember to ask for my Rewards woolworth card only noticed as I came outside I,m new to this,suggestion check before you pay if you can get points,otherwise clean and friendly staff .Privately owned Caltex stations do not give points for Rewards card
